So, you've got your group together, found somewhere you can imagine living with your mates, throwing great parties and enjoying the remainder of your time at uni.
Now what?

The first and most important thing you need to do is contact us to confirm the property is still available. This site will always be kept up to date, however in our busy months of January, August and September things can often move fast so it’s best to call. If it's available – book an appointment.

Our policy is to show all potential tenants around our houses before accepting a deposit. If you can, come as a group; this is an opportunity for us to meet you and for you to ask any questions you may have in person. We need to give our existing tenants 24 hours notice of any viewings so please bear with us if your preferred time isn’t available.

Securing the property is as easy as letting us know; you can even do so immediately after your viewing. We will then give you a reasonable period in which to pay a holding deposit*. This will be 1/3 of the property deposit* as shown on the house advert. It needs to be paid as one sum, so it’s often a good idea to start a separate bank account into which individual tenants can pay their rent – you can then use this for the duration of your tenancy. You must also send us contact details for members of your group, one of whom will become the 'lead tenant' at this stage.

Typically, new tenants pay their holding deposits in January in order to secure a property for the following September. Once we receive your holding deposit, we will send a receipt to the lead tenant. Of course renting does unfortunately involve completing a small amount of paperwork – your holding deposit receipt will include clear instructions on what to do next.
